I Didn’t Choose Styling—It Chose Me: My Journey to Style with Intention™
It all begins with an idea.
Have You Ever Felt Like This?
Have you ever looked in the mirror and thought… “I don’t even recognize myself anymore?”
Not because you’ve changed in a bad way—but because your clothes no longer reflect the woman you’ve become?
I’ve been there. So have countless women I’ve worked with. And that moment—where nothing in your closet feels quite right—is exactly why I do what I do today.
How It All Started
Hi, I’m Lynn—and I didn’t choose styling. It kind of chose me.
It all began in high school. My cousin—let’s call her Peggy 😉—only wore black and shopped second-hand. One day at the mall, I couldn’t stand that she never treated herself to something new—or added any color. So I did what came naturally: I put her in a fitting room and started pulling pieces I knew would work.
She left the store glowing. That wasn’t just a shopping trip. It was a transformation.
And I was hooked.
When Styling Became More Than a Side Passion
While I spent 25 years teaching, I always styled on the side—working in retail, helping personal clients, editing closets. I loved it.
I became a top-performing stylist at every brand I worked with. In 2016, I quietly started my own business to help women get dressed for new jobs, big life changes, or those moments when nothing in their wardrobe seemed to fit who they were becoming.
Because no matter what brand I worked for—or what size the closet—I kept coming back to one moment I couldn’t get enough of:
That moment when a woman looks in the mirror and finally sees herself again.
Why I Created Style with Intention™
Now that I’ve retired from teaching, I’ve blended both of my callings—educator and stylist—into one mission:
To empower women to rediscover their style, shop with purpose, and dress with confidence.
Style with Intention™ isn’t about trends or rules. It’s about alignment.
It’s about building a wardrobe that supports your real life—not the one you had ten years ago, and not the fantasy version you think you’re “supposed” to dress for.
Because when your clothes actually fit, flatter, and reflect the woman you are today—everything shifts.
